  2. How in the world does a lying shopaholic like Becky get a rich catch like Luke Read them, written well, but so dislike the main character.

  3. I love this book because maybe as a girl I can relate to this its a very realistic that happen to a girl I maybe not as shopaholic as her but I am an impulsive buyer that I could not mind or value the amount of the item as long as it makes me feel good the moment I saw it Good thing is I first watch the movie and it hits me big time, that make me decide to read the book the moment I saw it and I could say this is a good movie to watch over and over again either read over and over again just for [...]

  4. I was perusing the Kindle portion of our library s website looking for a light read When I saw that they were offering the 5 book Shopaholic series as one checkout I thought, Why not So I started reading I just finished the 3rd book and I m not sure I m going to read 4 and 5 I ve never disliked the main character as much as I dislike Rebecca Bloomwood She s lazy, she s stupid, she s a pathalogical liar, she makes the most ridiculous decisions and justifies every one, she doesn t learn from her m [...]

  5. Shopaholic Ties The Knot LOVED IT It was fun to read and it truly shows life lessons people often times face in their lives I loved how Rebecca became rational in the shopping realm and that she finally got a lasting job, as a personal shopper at Barneys Becky wanted to have the wedding of her dreams and Elinor, Luke s mother organized their wedding at the Plaza Hotel Although the wedding plans seemed perfect, Becky s mother wanted for the wedding to take place in England to prolong the family [...]

  6. I don t think there is much better in the way of Chick Lit than the Confessions series PARTICULARLY these first three books There are a few things that are annoying like you wonder how ANYONE can be as ignorant and airheaded as Becky Bloomwood You also wonder how anyone can have so little knowledge of money and budgets eg I have a 1000.00 per week shopping addiction so I am going to cut down to spending nothing no coffee, no lunch, no essentials to save money I m sure I won t snap But there are [...]

  7. Shopaholic Takes Manhattan was about a women Rebecca Bloomwood, and she has a serious shopping problem, but not only shoping though, it was also about the finacial struggle for Rebecca Bloomwood Its difficult to be a shopaholic The book also talked about Rebeccas struggle with her new husband Luke As they move from England to Manhattan Becky is funny, cute, awkward and troubled She seems to always be in a pickle with money but she seems to get herself out of it Sophie Kinsella does a good job wi [...]

  8. Confessions of a shopaholic is so great Becky Bloomwood main character is just so lovable She s from England working as a financial journlist, but she has a little problem with spending the situations that she gets in are so entertaining and unbelievably funny Shopaholic takes Manhattan is just as good if not better than Confessions You have becky who s from England going overseas to NYC, her spending is out of control and her ratonalization for it all makes you just laugh out loud Ties the Knot [...]

  9. I started to read the second book in this series and my friend grabbed it out of my hand and gave me the first one I am glad I did after knowing that the beginning of the second one would completely give away the ending of this book Who doesn t love Rebecca after reading this book I am afraid I can relate to her too well Wish I couldn t Love how she solves her problems in unique ways I wouldn t recommend starting the series unless you had all 3 for they are a quick read and once you start you wo [...]

  10. Nicecrazy This kind of easy to read books isn t exactly my favouritebut I couldn t help myself laughting while reading KinsellaAt a certain point, I felt deeply envolved in the storye though it s not simple to admit I confronted with one or of these problem s as well Refreshing and ironic, bitter sweet somehowWhy do I like it Hard to draw a conclusion could it be the feeling of guiltiness shared, laughting at the others likely at yourself with a loud voice Hmmill thinking of that

  11. I really liked this book It was entertaining and a good read It relates to me because I m kind of a shopaholic myself and reading a book that relates to me made me realize a lot of things One of the theme was realization in the importance of money Becky had a lot of different decisions to make She wanted to make everyone happy but forgot to be happy herself I don t think a lot of people nowadays will make sacrifices like what Becky did At first Becky is childish and immature but once she undergo [...]

  12. All the Shopaholic books are around the same premise Becky Bloomwood is amazingly self centered yet very good natured Her guardian angel is on over time keeping her out of amazing scrapes The resultant climax usually involves some miraculous rescue of her pride and honor It also usually involves her rich, handsome, perfect boyfriend It s pure escapism perfect for the audiobook car commute,or listening to at the gym The bits about shopping are incredibly tedious.

  13. Perhaps it s my personal fetish for shopping and my love of hanging out with the girls but these books had me hookedl of them They re perfect chick lit novels that follow a twenty something girl and her cliqued of girlfriends, along her shopping path and all of her credit debt as she struggles with guy troubles and finding her way with where she belongs in the career world I loved everyh minute of these books and can t wait to see the first movie coming up in February

  14. Anyone who loves a funny, hilarious book, this is a must read I found myself laughing out loud so many times, I can not count I left lent this series to numerous friends and all have come back and said that this is a really great book I have read all 5 of the shopaholic series and would recommend them all.

  15. Amazing how a change in a book can change my reading habits I went from reading one or two pages a day of the last book to reading fifty I much preferred the main character in this book She grew, although at times I was frustrated by her stupidity, in the end she changed There were a few scenes where I was LOLing so loud that I was crying Especially when she was at the gym on the treadmill.

  16. These two books are funny Takes Manhattan is the second book in the series and Ties the Knot is the third book They are really funny and she is a crazy character who just likes to buy things and thinks what other people think of her during her buying experience.

  17. Rebecca is just too silly for words I don t know if I am going to finish this series Reading about her messing up that much all the time kind of made me anxious.I can t even go to the grocery store to buy milk without being afraid that I am spending too much.

  18. Loved, loved, loved these books My friend introduced me to Sophie Kinsella and I have yet to be disappointed Any woman that loves to shop could relate to this book Very easy read but hard to put down.

  19. Confessions of a Shopaholic Becky Bloomwood wanted to pay her debts back but she was addicted to shopping so she tried to make money In this story, what Sophie Kinsella suggests about the nature of money is that people have to be responsible and careful with it.

  20. Sophie Kinsella is absolutely hilarious Any girl who loves shopping or comical writing would love this series True, her main character is very absent minded, day dreamy and crazy, but that s why everyone likes the series And it s perfect perfect perfect for reading on holiday D

  21. Hilarious perfect beach reading I loved every book in the series, Becky Bloomwood is crazy, irresponsible, and often infuriating, but you can t help but love her The perfect light read guaranteed to make you smile

  22. If you suffer from the same addiction, you will find these hilarious They remind me exactly of my daughter Corinne Unfortunately with the exception of Corinne not having the job to finance her addiction These books are way better than the movie isn t that usually the case

  23. These books are all nice easy reads, but not exactly book club material The main character can be frustrating in her inability to actually do what she keeps telling herself to do Nice for mind numbing entertainment.
