This was the first book I read on manufacturing and operations management, that was in my senior years as a mechanical engineering student. It helped me extend my understanding and knowledge on the subject, and it actually increased my appetite for studying industrial engineering and since then I've been reading on the subject. I re-read the first half and completed reading the book in May 2013.What I like about this book is that it's very precise and has valuable information, but to be honest it's too summarized, and covers intermediate to advanced topics while the title says "principles"! Also it doesn't have "cases" in a separate part, nor in the end of chapters, all it has is some brief examples, and that's even rare. I hope the next editions would be more extended and improved. But, considering there's no many books on this field, I consider this book quite helpful, and I do recommend it.A viral Manufacturing Management: Principles and Concepts Author Peter Gibson R.
