  1. I quite liked this book once I pushed past the first 30% or so Brendon, one of our MCs, works what s basically dead end job as a salesperson for hair straighteners and other beauty products in a local mall, while also going to school to become a hair stylist make up artist He s friends with a married couple running the sales stand next to his.Brendon also comes across as a bit lonely, though he s described as someone who doesn t usually finish what he starts, a bit flaky, a bit effeminate He s g [...]

  2. This is my second Quinn Anderson book It started out pretty cute I do love her voice in her stories This one however, didn t quite meet my expectations I have a pet peeve about male characters in M M Romance novels being portrayed as too feminine I don t mean effeminate , I mean feminine Where you keep asking yourself if this is Brendan or Brenda you re reading about. If that were my only complaint it would fall into the many category because I read a lot of books that give me that impression But [...]

  3. Sweet but cheesy I m torn between rating this book 3 or 4 stars, so we will go with 3.5 I enjoyed the storyline however it was predictable.Brendon isn t good with committing to decisions He is always stuck between jobs, studies and boyfriends Brendon reads a magazine quiz written by a local man called Matt Brendon convinces himself Matt is his perfect match and decides he has to meet him After some research aka online stalking, he finds a picture of Matt and his favourite hangouts Now all he has [...]

  4. 5 Hearts Let me start off my declaring myself a hopeless romantic and the ultimate lover of the romantic comedy There is something about a movie, a story that blends romance with the emotions of unrequited love, comedic timing both planned and unplanned, cringe worthy moments, physical calamities that make the love interest find the other adorable and the simple notion that love conquers all.I connected with Brendon from the first paragraph of this book as he lamented his job at the mall and all [...]

  5. 3.5 stars Brendon met his soulmatet in real time but on paperhe did a quiz by this writer Matthew Matt and it pressed all his buttons He knew he had to make it happen to meet him for real It took some time, he wanted to impress him so he did some work to know everything about Matt He was the perfection, everything he wanted for a soulmate. They actually meet, coincidentally Matt thinks so, and it was an instant attraction only now Brendon has to confess how he worked hard to find Matt and it wasn [...]

  6. ARC provided by the author, who in case it wasn t clear the 46579136358679645 previous times I ve said this is absolutely amazing I friggin loved this I can see all your eyerolls from here cause, really, I could use an update in my opening line whenever I have to review for a Quinn Anderson book But trust me, it s accurate, so there s that I had so much fun This was simply hilarious and adorable I found myself laughing out loud often than it would be expected from something of this length These [...]

  7. 3.5 starsBrendon stumbles into a relationship quiz on a magazine given by his friend He thinks the quiz s answers are so perfect for him and Brendon becomes a little obsessed Well, actually Brendon believes that the quiz maker is his soulmate After doing a little online research and finds his name to be Matt Brendon starts his quest for true love. All of the Above is pretty predictable when we have an MC who does a little stalkerish action to set up a fake meet cute with a love interest who says [...]

  8. It s no secret I really enjoy this author s works but this is my first time reading a book outside the series I m following so I wondered how different this would be.The story is simple after taking a quiz, Brendon notices he is very compatible with its creator Since it was a local magazine, it wasn t hard to locate the person, Matthew Kingston, and simulate a meet cute The problem rises when the two notice some incompatibilities among so may things they have in common.Maybe because I found it w [...]

  9. A Joyfully Jay review 4.25 starsThe premise of this one totally grabbed my attention and I was looking forward to reading it This book is a light hearted, sometimes silly romp that was sweet and playful, with just enough heft to give it some weight I really enjoyed Brendon, and I liked watching him grow. This book is told solely through Brendon s third person POV Brendon was the prefect narrator here, as it was his story to tell He s flamboyant and out there and unapologetic about who he is, whic [...]

  10. I received a copy of this title to read and review for Wicked Reads4.5 StarsBrendon is a stylist in training, having too much time on his hands working at a mall kiosk While taking a quizz in a local magazine, he feels drawn to the man who created it Matt The quizz mentioned Brendon s favorite places, date locations, spoke to his heart.Brendon becomes a stalker, adding an awkward hilarity to the novella I suffered from a few bouts of vicarious embarrassment alongside Brendon as he hunted down Ma [...]

  11. Brendon is in cosmetology school and working a hair care kiosk at the mall, just sort of waiting for the next thing, when he runs across a quiz in Extra magazine Who Is Your Perfect Man could have been written with Brendon in mind, the answers are so spot on to what he would say So of course his great idea is to meet Matthew Kingston, the genius behind the quiz It starts with some internet searching and ends up with a plan for a fake meet cute After some speed bumps initially, the meeting happen [...]

  12. When I started All of the Above, I was in a streak of meh reads You know, books that aren t bad, per se, but not really that great either At the end of the first chapter of All of the Above, I knew I d finally broken out of the rut The humor is what grabbed me at first Brendon, our narrator, is funny Really funny And the premise is reminiscent of those awesome early 2000s romcoms that basically no one can hate on It s trope y but only in the best ways The writing is snappy and witty and relatabl [...]

  13. 4.25 Stars When Brendon s friend, Areesh drops off some of his wife s old magazines to him at work, Brendon finds a local one with a quiz in the back about finding the perfect boyfriend Taking the quiz he finds some unique choices in the featured answers to favorite movies, first date ideas and local places he loves that makes him think, perhaps he has a lot in common with the author, so he finds the author s name and sets out to try to run into him at one of the places they both love Brendon ne [...]

  14. I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads This is a very sweet romantic comedy It feels like a fiction version of a classic film romcom featuring Meg Ryan or Reece Witherspoon It is a self aware story Brendon is a huge romcom fan and he takes his inspiration from the classics For Quinn Anderson, this is quite a departure from her Murmur s Inc books this is almost adorably cute and it lacks the undercurrent of edgy social commentary in her earlier books I personally pref [...]

  15. I love this book s cover It s so unique And what s inside is even better I loved both MCs, though there were definitely times when they frustrated me The date book was SO CUTE Also I loved the Muslim married couple, Sasha and Areesh I saw the author say on Twitter that these characters are based on friends I wish I could be friends with them They were so sweet and funny Overall, this was a cute read with fun and steam.

  16. Check out ourAll of the Abovepost on Wicked Reads.Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review TeamAngie The blurb drew me in and I couldn t wait to read this book The story is super sweet, but in the same sense, I didn t really like the two main characters Brendon was so arrogant and self centered and Matt just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason I couldn t connect with these guys I tried, because who hasn t filled out those surveys in magazines Well, now online Great idea, just not good execution in [...]

  17. Cute, cute, cute Quinn Anderson s All of the Above was the first book I ve read by this author I actually passed it up the first run through because the cover didn t catch my eye, but then I went back and read the blurb Instant one clicker material He was like a sparkly little hummingbird in a drab haystack.Brendon is living day to day, working at a hair kiosk in the mall and going to school for cosmetology One day he happens to pick up a local magazine and take a quiz Lo and behold, all the ans [...]

  18. 4.5 Stars Brendon never seems to finish what he starts He lacks the drive, even if he tries He s sure there has to be something out there for him and until he stumbles into a local magazine and finds a Who Is Your Perfect Man quiz there, he isn t sure what that is Then, as he compares the answers by the quiz writer and his, he decides that Matthew Kingston is his soulmate and orchestrates an encounter with him, after cyberstalking him to know which are his favorite haunts Meeting Matt is all he [...]

  19. The review for this is now live on my blog This was a really nice, light hearted cheesey read and was a great introductory read into the LGBTQIA genre The characters were really well developed especially Brandon who was the main character and you did feel emotionally invested with the plot One minute you wanted to hate Brandon because of what he was going and then you were wishing they were together It was a rollercoaster of emotions and it really kept you pulled into the story.I also enjoyed th [...]

  20. This book is extremely readable I never once thought about not finishing it In fact, I really kind of liked the setup of itper creative and cute But I just never felt like these two characters really connected This is probably a me issue though because the writing was very good There was just something about the personalities in the book that I couldn t connect with and in turn, I don t feel like they ever connected to one another either Yes, there was sexual attraction there, but I m not sure I [...]

  21. All of the Above is my first read by Quinn Anderson I enjoyed this story for the sweet romance it is meant to be I will read by this author.

  22. I received a copy to read and reviewThe blurb drew me in and I couldn t wait to read this book The story is super sweet but in the same sense I didn t really like the two main characters Brendon was so arrogance and self centered and Matt just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason I couldn t connect with these guys I tried, because who hasn t filled out those surveys in magazines Well, now on line Great idea, just not good execution in my opinion It was a fast read even though I didn t connect [...]

  23. I really liked the premise, but as the book went on I had to suspend my disbelief so hard I almost broke something I admit I don t often like romantic comedies, because they tend to be fairly unrealistic, but even if you just accept the extremely scripted set up which soon felt stilted rather than fun or quirky, the main characters acted like weird robots rather than humans, and it soon just felt way too constructed to work for me It didn t help that apart from the two main characters there are [...]

  24. Book All of the AboveAuthor Quinn AndersonStar rating No of Pages 155Cover Lovely POV 3rd person, single character POVWould I read it again NoGenre LGBT, Contemporary, Romance COPY RECEIVED THROUGH NETGALLEY Reviewed for Divine MagazineOkay, this is a hard one, for me It s my first book by the author and I ll admit I feel a bitunderwhelmed It wasn t awful, but it wasn t brilliant either It s in that halfway mark of just Meh and Okay, where I don t really know what to say about it I do, however, [...]

  25. I think this would have been cute if it wasn t creepy I really really disklike the protagonist He makes himself a manic pixie dream boy ge gets away with problematic behaviour because he wants to get the guy. Also seeing my culture incorrectly represented through the side characters Areesh and Sasha just made me mad Disclaimer I know obviously that there are infinite ways to represent any minority group but imo I feel like as an author not of that background you should do research

  26. if you re looking for a cute, sweet read, look no further Brendon is adorably quirky, but not over the top He s someone I could actually imagine seeing working at a kiosk in my local mall In fact, I ve probably met his doppleganger during the several years I spent suffering in the retail field The unique way the MCs get to know each other and their pinnacle date make my heart surge I loved everything about this story and would definitely recommend to anyone, especially those who might need a pic [...]

  27. I was provided with one copy of this book at no charge in exchange for my honest review All opinions are my own Review first posted on Nautical Star Books.Okay, so, I have read several books by Quinn Anderson and have loved most of them but this one just didn t grab me It s a cute gay romance story with well developed characters and a nice happily ever after, however, there were just a few things I didn t love about this story. The CharactersBrandon is a bit of a flake, I think He is just meander [...]

  28. 1.5This was too creepy and stalkery to really enjoy it I almost DNF it than once but kept reading because obviously I m a masochist who loves feeling second hand embarrasment for 70% 80% of my read I couldn t sympathize with Brendon not even once, and really, I wasn t all that surprised when Matt didn t immediately forgive him and had some issues trusting in him again Come on, it s normal Who wouldn t in his position On the other hand, Matt felt a little flat at times, and I couldn t really und [...]

  29. Honestly, this was just ok for me The plot of the storyy reads a magazine article and sets out to find the author who he is sure is his perfect matchnds him then loses him, then gets him back It s all a bitm com which I adore, however, I think a lot of the potential in this story was wasted and lost but I am just not sure where it went I just wasn t really a fan of the character s, or the side character s In a way, I felt that the MC s were just a bitrish if not annoying.
