PDF Mother Russia I liked the concept, and there were some great action scenes/layouts, but this never "hooked" me. I liked the fact that visuals dominated, rather than text, as well. However, I found the introduction explain the concept more interesting and emotionally engaging than the work itself. The linework was also a little too loose for my taste.. Mother Russia are Books Stalingrad 1943 One baby One rifle Two million zombies A soviet sniper risks her life to protect something she hasn t seen in a long time a perfectly healthy two year old boy.. Jeff McComsey Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Mother Russia book, this is one of the most wanted Jeff McComsey author readers around the world. . A viral Book Mother Russia Zombie apocalypse meets the Eastern front of WWII. Russian sniper rescues a toddler from said zombies; German intelligence officer rescues the sniper and toddler. American canned pork and beans are shared. Brunhilde the German Shepherd gets rescued, too. Two aspects of this work that I really liked: 1) anything said in German isn't translated, and 2) the story really works to tell the story without words. It flows pretty well. The last few chapters look a little shakey with the lines though. Might be that these extras were just that, "extras" like concept art. Not sure.

  3. I love reading about zombies I love reading about World War II But this is unsatisfying It has such a cool hook, but it feels like that goes nowhere.

  4. It had such a wonderful plot and has a lot of potential unfortunately i felt like it could have gone into detail I wish there was content because i really did enjoy it.

  5. In this alternative history graphic novel, WWII has turned into zombieland Set in Stalingrad during the height of the war, German and Russian soldiers have become zombies and few humans are left in the city One survivor is a ballet dancer turned sniper, living high in her tower She sees a toddler wandering amongst the zombies and saves it, meeting another survivor in the process The description of this story is a little different from the actual narrative I do wish there were a few details on h [...]

  6. I am not a huge fan of the graphic novel, aka comic book, but I have to say Jeff M s work made a strong impression This GN caught my attention for it s implausible storyline woman sniper, small child, zombies what a combination and how could it work Each savage little scenario with its gripping illustrations kept me creeped out, grossed out, and immersed in that horrible post WWII world I felt all the feels that I normally reserve for episodes of the Walking Dead, as I was visually dragged along [...]

  7. I won this graphic novel on One of the silly things I ve ever read WW2, Germans, Russians, and Zombies all show up for a blood fest that features a ton of violence and a shortage of plot.In my humble opinion, the writer over did the concept and the plots were all over the place The one star was for the art work Thank the good lord this was just a quick read comic book.

  8. I received this book through the giveaways program This does not in any way affect my review. The art had a nice style but the story didn t really grab me It seemed very generic to me and it didn t have anything to make it stand out and make me want to read of the series I can see how other people would really enjoy it but it didn t work out for me.

  9. It s fine There s a lot of visual action, which is appropriate given the topic, but the world doesn t feel super flushed out and it s not really about a woman who finds possibly the last human baby around It s just action scenes one after the other.
