My name is Allec Renn, and I was born with ALS Even with our modern technology, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis cannot be treated or cured I ve been bed or chair bound since I was a kid The advent of Virtual Reality technology has given me a chance for a new life Or rather dozens of them Heh I m an avid gamer, and I wouldn t have it any other way In the games I couldMy name is Allec Renn, and I was born with ALS Even with our modern technology, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis cannot be treated or cured I ve been bed or chair bound since I was a kid The advent of Virtual Reality technology has given me a chance for a new life Or rather dozens of them Heh I m an avid gamer, and I wouldn t have it any other way In the games I could be what I wanted to be, who I wanted to be A mighty warrior, a powerful spellcaster, the charming rogue The crafter The builder All of those and have helped to greatly alleviated my problems But a new game is coming out one with the power to change the world It uses a brand new technology, based around the first ever deep immersion Dive Pod With it there is no game lag or graphical limits It is being heralded as the greatest breakthrough in Virtual Reality technologies since its founding And the first and only game for it Universe Online No longer will players be stuck on a single large world to explore No longer will there a limit to what you can do, what you can be Fly spaceships between the stars, conquer planets, create custom technology Mine, Build, Destroy Explore Rule This is my story, and my path in Universe Online.

I found this book a lot of fun, going straight through it in a day.The protagonist was both able and relatable Ability enough to be a significant hero and thereby satisfying And relatable in that his attitudes were normal I have a hard time reading about protagonists who are overly bitter or uncaring The story kept me engaged throughout, not spending too much time on any scene, shifting when I was ready for the next part Also, there was no issues with annoyingly abusive or stupid characters I ve [...]

  2. i love this book iv e been with the author sense he started writing this book on royalroadl a long while ago and personally enjoyed thisthis book has originality most authors of the vrmmorpg category go for a sm sword and magic for all you pervs instead of the si fy them of the concept that Viken went with and while part one is short it has a part 2 and a book 2 on to read While keeping his concept he writes an interesting story that i read many times and is worth the money in my opinionthe cha [...]

A great startAlthough a bit short, the story grabs you A gaming story but in line with technology instead of magic fantasy Hopefully book 2 is longer, very soon out, and just as good if not better hard to do as this start was very well written and makes you want to read Now when is the next installment coming

  5. While it was a very short read as I read it in about 4 hour or so It was fairly enjoyable and I look forward to the other volumes.Hopefully not a long wait.
