Zip Oh say can you say di-no-saur? I am aware of the PBS television show based off of Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat titled, "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That," where The Cat in the Hat teaches Dick and Sally (who he famously visited in his original tale) and the viewers about all different kinds of things. On this visit, he takes Dick and Sally to a museum to teach them about all different kinds of dinosaurs. I must actually say that this was quite informative and I especially admired how there is a complete pronunciation of each of the dinosaurs and how it is sounded out so that its target audience, and even adults that are reading the text, know how to say the different kinds of dinosaurs. There is enough information for the reader to get an idea of the featured dinosaurs and the signature, zany humor that comes with a work written in Dr. Seuss' world.. 5. In my world dinosaurs reign supreme, any book about dinosaurs is an automatic love for me This book has the bright and classic Dr Seuss style illustrations which is why it was published by the Seuss publishing house It includes many of the facts about dinosaurs that children want to know including which dinosaurs are herbivores and which are carnivores I think this would be a great book to use to talk to children about dinosaurs but they may need help reading and pronouncing the names of the dif [...]

  6. Not a bad book, although I ll admit that I m not a huge fan of the non fiction Cat in the Hat titles, but what in the BLUE BLAZES is Archaeopteryx doing in a book about dinosaurs If you re trying to imply that it evolved from dinosaurs, you really should stop since there is no evidence supporting that claim And if you aren t trying to imply that, then it just flat out doesn t belong here Either way, it needs to go Bummer, because it wasn t half bad until that point.

  7. A cute book and a nice way of helping kids begin to pronounce some of the difficult dinosaur names I loved the last one in the book He was adorable, in a giant, monster sized sort of way.

  12. This book was a terrible cashing in on Dr Seuss work It had Dr Seuss artwork It ripped off a title from another of his books It had a poor facsimile of Thing 1 and Thing 2.What it didn t have was the charm and poetry that an actual Dr Seuss book has He had nothing to do with the book, no writing no illustrating It s really sad.

  13. This book makes a good introduction to the wonderful world of dinosaurs Through clever, rhyming text, you will be introduced to nine different dinosaurs some lesser known varieties as well as the super stars that we have all heard of and the catinthehatasaurus. The focus of the book is on proper pronunciation of the dino names Hooray

  15. Although this book was not written by Dr Seuss, I really enjoy it I like the factual text part of the book, descriptions and pictures of dinosaurs, as well as pronunciations of dinosaur names The rhymes are strong in this bookd the Catinthehatasaurus at the end is very saber tooth tigerish and fun

  16. This is very difficult to read, and j don t mean that dinosaur names are difficult to pronounce The names are spelled out phonetically and it helps The problem is the rhyming scheme and the tempo change while reading It just doesn t work and there no flow to reading the book I have to stop every few pages and re read what s written

  17. The rhythm of this book is a little difficult to get that other books in the cat in the hate learning library but it has wonderful fact for children who like dinosaurs and who haven t discovered their magic yet.

  18. Kathryn has been fascinated by dinosaurs lately so this was one of her Easter presents We read it a lot and it a lot and I m grateful that it spells out the dinosaur names phonetically.
