This book is a great way to talk about the excitement leading up to a party as well as the letdown feeling once it is over The whiny, tired voice of the frog is exactly what I hear from my youngest, especially after a busy, exciting day It s a good book to read at bedtime Our girls have borrowed this from the library a few times I think they like the cover illustration as much as they like the story.

This is the story about a frog who is excited to sing at his grandpa s birthday party He continues to be excited, even after the party is over He doesn t even want to go to sleep at the end of the day Finally, his best friend, Rabbit, convinces him to go to sleep.This is a very lengthy book,but could possibly be read aloud over a period of two dayscommended for grades 1st and 2nd.

  4. Energetic character with a wacky imagination Best part to me is the circling back at the conclusion of a very full day Somewhat aimed at the parent adult, in my opinion, reflecting a child s over excitement, over tired, demnand for the spotlight response to big days.
