  1. Shannon McRobers Athine verses blends the myth and magic of different real world realms creating a new folklore all its own, with gods and goddesses, demi gods, magic, and curious mystical powers The story s told with a nicely mythological start, telling the past history of the world to come, followed by first person descriptions of battle, rites of passage, and the joys and fears of an underling coming to power and fulfilling prophecy.A world threatened with destruction, a vision of fear tinged [...]

  6. This book is a retelling of Greek Mythology and is technically very well executed. The plot moves continuously, the characters, the two main protagonists who is also half sisters develops fast and real change is obvious. The mythology part of the plot which is 99% of the book is a masterful telling of the start of Athena and her sister. My only true complaint against this book is also its greatest strength Due to its technically masterful presentation the story for me came across as a bit cold Woul [...]

  12. One day I just had an idea about a girl that would be called Daughter of Ares It took me awhile, but I was able to create Athine and her world This book has a lot of POV changes, but only 1 per chapter It was just something that the book needed To see character renders and visit myepiclore Although this title is no longer a standalone title, it is still available in Verses of Athine The Daughter of Ares Chronicles which includes books 1 through 4.

  14. The mythology aspect was nice as was the plot itself, however the delivery of it was very strange Almost read like a textbook in some places and not in a good way either Well maybe like the Silmarillion, which I do love, sooo not bad just not what I was expecting it to be It was interesting enough though.

  15. This is the updated version of my book Major editing has been done to this version of the book in 2013 and now it is the polished book I always wanted I like to think my books are Xena meets LOTR You have a strong female lead, immortal born rulers, and epic like quests to save the world All while Athine and some others learn who they are, what they can do, and how much control one has over their own destiny Enjoy
