Being somewhat of a sojourner when it comes to soteriology, I was excited to read this book Moreover, my Arminian leanings made me interested to learn about the supposed divide between Classical Reformed Arminianism and Wesleyan Arminianism Unfortunately, this book wasn t as great as as I hoped it would be Forlines writing was quite sporadic and I had a hard time connecting his thoughts throughout each chapter The book would have been much enjoyable to read if it was better organized Overall, [...]

Going to be writing a full review of this book when I get the chance, but other than two decent chapters on Justification and the Atonement Forlines builds a weak case for Arminianism full of bad methodology building a doctrine of personhood without wrestling through the key texts, and then interpreting them through this doctrine , terrible exegesis shrugging of Rom 8 by saying, without any proof from the text, that it doesn t have to say what Calvinists suggest it says , and logical fallacies t [...]
